Wyze cameras are some of the best indoor cameras that exist in the market. They are affordable($25), easy to set up and work great! But what about outdoor cameras?
Currently, there are several outdoor enclosures being sold on Amazon. Some of them look pretty good and would most likely work but for the cost, I’m not sure it is worth it. This guy decided to save the cost of an outdoor case and just risk the camera to the elements.
Most people are probably familiar with Nest cameras or Ring cameras. These are great but cost over $200 and require a subscription. Recently I came across a company called Wyze that makes a smart home camera that is affordable ($25) and require no subscription. Almost seems too good to be true. I decided to give one a try and see if how well they work.
After using the camera for over a week, I am very impressed. The picture quality is great, the app is simple and intuitive, and they are easy to set up. With the purchase of my new iPhone, I now had a phone that was capable of wireless charging. Yes yes, I know that Android has had wireless charging for years. I honestly didn’t think it was that great of a feature. How hard is it to just plug in your phone? I decided to get a wireless charger to see how it worked. After some research, I decided to go with the Seneo Wireless Charger. It has good reviews, supports fast charging for the iPhone and is Qi Certified.
Overall I have been happy with the simplicity of just sitting your phone down and it charging. The Seneo charger allows the phone to sit at an angle so you are able to see notifications etc. It also will work with most cases. Just be aware that if you have a large bulky case or a pop socket, you may have trouble getting it to charge.
A wireless charger is a great affordable gift for friends or family. Just make sure their phone supports QI charging.
With the preorder of my new iPhone Xs, I was faced with this question, “Will iPhone X cases work for the Xs?”. After some research, it appeared all cases for the iPhone X would work for the Xs. Unfortunately, after ordering the Torras case, I discovered this is not true.
The iPhone Xs has a larger camera lens and some iPhone X cases will not fit. Luckily the Torras reached out and offered to send me the iPhone Xs version of the case at no extra charge. Great customer service!
I would recommend ordering iPhone cases that is designed to fit the Xs to ensure the camera lens is not covered. The Spigen Liquid Crystal is a good option if you want a minimal case.
