Wireless Temperature Humidity Sensor

If you have a need to wirelessly monitor the temperature or humidity of a room, attic or even a crawl space, the Govee Thermometer Hygrometer is a great device! I currently have 3 of them monitoring my attic, crawl space, and kid’s room. They have a nice screen but also sync over Bluetooth with your smartphone. They take 2 AAA batteries after a couple of months still are showing full for the battery status.

They are great for real-time temperature and humidity readings but also store 20-day historical data that can be viewed and exported from the app. You can also set high/low alarms for both temperature and humidity but since they are Bluetooth, you do have to be within 100 ft of the device to get an alert.

For $15, the Govee is a great deal and I highly recommend them!

Rapid Ring App

I’ve been using the Ring Doorbell Pro for the past couple of years. It has been a great camera/doorbell with very few issues. Ring recently released a new app for iOS and Android that allows quick access to view the camera. It is called Rapid Ring. The original Ring app is great for video playback and changing settings but at times it is so slow the person ringing your door may have already left. Rapid Ring quickly loads the video feed of any Ring device. If you are experiencing slowness with the current Ring app, I recommend trying Rapid Ring App.

Which AA Battery is Best?

Batteries are expensive so I try to buy them in bulk and get the best deal. I recently came across a video on YouTube of a guy who goes really in-depth on what AA battery is the best buy. I’ve been a fan of the Amazon basic AA batteries but wasn’t really sure how they compared to name brands like Energizer or Duracell.

After watching the video, it turns out that the Amazon Basic AA batteries are actually the best MAH per penny battery on the market. Great news since I have been buying them for a couple of years. Amazon also sells rechargeable batteries.
