I’ve always been a fan of quotes. Quotes can motivate, inspire, teach, and more. When things get tough, many people turn to a motivational quote for a bit of inspiration. We are most open to change when we feel change is needed. So, we search the web when we have had a tough day at work to find that perfect pick-me-up quote to feel just a bit better. Once we locate the excellent quote, we are filled with inspiration and motivation and may have the courage to take on the world.
Quotes in Weather Extension
Before AtomicQuote, I experimented with quotes in my Weather Extension, and I added a small database of famous quotes and allowed users to share them easily on Twitter. Many users love this extra feature on top of all the weather data.
Programmatic SEO
When building a site like AtomicQuote, which does not require user content, etc., you can go from 0 to hundreds of thousands of pages ready to be indexed by Google. This is awesome compared to a traditional blog that could take years to get thousands of pages. AtomicQuote currently has over 700,000 dynamic pages that can be found through searching. Features of AtomicQuote
My goal for AtomicQuote is to be the largest database of quotes on the internet. Currently, the site has over 500,000 quotes and growing. A quote is “to repeat (something written or said by another person) exactly.” So technically, this means anything worth repeating is worth storing on AtomicQuote. Eventually, I want to have a way for users to submit new quotes, but of course, this has to come with some form of moderation. Currently, the site contains the most famous quotes that are easy to share.
