What shortener services does Link Shortener support?
T.LY, iBit.ly, TinyUrl, Bit.ly, is.gd, Cutt.ly, Brevis, and more are supported. Please contact me if you would like another shortener added.
How do I view stats for a short URL?
T.LY and other URL shortener services often track the redirect stats for short URLs. To view stats for any T.LY short URL, just a + sign to the end. Here is an example t.ly/P9IK+.
How do I pin the extension?

Can I set my own T.LY API key?
Yes, if you go to the options page within the extension, you can add your own API key for T.LY. Make sure you select T.LY as your default shortener.
Can I set my own Rebrand.ly API key?
Yes, if you go to the options page within the extension, you can add your own API key for Rebrand.ly. Make sure you select Rebrand.ly as your default shortener.
Can I set my own Bit.ly API key?
Yes, if you go to the options page within the extension, you can add your own API key for Bitly. Make sure you select Bit.ly as your default shortener.
Do you support Google’s link shortener service(goo.gl)?
Unfortunately, Google shut down its server on March 30th, 2019. Before that, Link Shortener did support goo.gl. While the short links you created with Google URL shortener should continue to redirect to the proper site, you cannot shorten any more links. If you need a new link shortener, T.LY is a great alternative to Google link shortener.
Is there a keyboard shortcut to shorten a link?
Yes, you can map any key combination you like to quickly shorten a url. Check out this article on how to map keyboard shortcuts to chrome extensions.
What happens if a shortener service fails?
Often due to multiple reasons, a shortener will fail to shorten a link. The extension is designed to try the next available shortener so you should always get a short link.
Can I right-click on a link to shorten it?
Yes, when you right-click on a url on the page, you should see an option to shorten and copy the link to your clipboard.
How to include https:// in front of a shortened link
Go to options and enable the setting for Include https:// in short links
